Azienda Agricola Graziano Prà
Our philosophy is based on food and land:
«… The production of food is a gastronomic act. To be a source of food pleasure, food must be good, but also pure and correct: it must be the result of sustainable agriculture that respects the environment and workers' dignity. When we buy food, we choose also an agricultural model. This is a fundamental issue that determines the future of the planet: its survival or its destruction. "

The winery is run by Graziano Prà, whose family has owned their vineyards for generations but never commercialized the wines in bottle until recently. The vineyards are all certified organic, and are situated in the heart of the appellation Monteforte D’Alpone in the Province of Verona in the Italian region Veneto, 50 miles west of Venice. Taste the Otto and Staforte bottling of their delicious Garganega grapes that make Soave Classico. Besides Soave, the winery also produces Valpolicella and Amarone from a vineyard purchased and planted in 2001, and whose truly remarkable results are only now being discovered. Their reds are from high elevation vineyards rich in limestone - producing reds that are much more focused and mineral-driven than many of their counterparts in the appellation. The Amarone is made in the traditional way by drying the harvested grapes for several weeks outside the winery in the cool air, shrinking water weight and concentrating the flavors. The Ripasso is made by passing juice over those dried grapes. All are fantastic, and all available here.
