Argiolas Vermentino - Sardenia, Italy 2018 - This dry island wine shows a ripe, almost tropical-fruit profile of fully ripe apricots and peaches accented by melon, almond, blossoms, minerals and honey. Bright acidity provides a fine succulence to the rich expression. 8 months on the lees. Pair it with antipasti of steamed artichokes, or ricotta filled squash blossoms, a seafood risotto, or ravioli stuffed with potato and mint.
Patrick Lambert Rose - Chinon, France 2018 - Patrick Lambert’s 6 hectares of organic vines in Cravant are harvested from 20 year old Cabernet Franc vines. It shows lovely aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, citrus and rose; the palate sweeps you up with ripe and pretty raspberry, citrus and stone flavors with really nice density and texture. Pair it with a Monte Cristo sandwich!!
Arnaud no. 153 red, Cotes Du Rousillon, France 2017 - Arnaud de Villeneuve cooperative includes over 300 vignerons and farmers working together to make exemplary wines for every day. This silky blend of Syrah, Mourvedre and Grenache features delicious black cherry skins and crisp red fruits with mint, leather, sweet spice, prune, fig, minor floral notes, touches or orange peel and an intriguing smokiness. Pair it with a BBQ plate, smoky cheddar, or slow roasted meats.
Ad Lucern Elaine’s Red - Columbia Valley, Washington 2015 - Many of you are familiar with, and big fans of the Lady Hill Cabernet Sauvignon we carry. Looking very much forward to introducing their red blend. Rhone style New World wines like this fit a niche for those who love rich fruit and complexity, but are looking for soft tannin structure. Tons of berries and a velvety soft mid-palate create a crowd pleasing offering anyone can get down with. This wine is appropriate for steaks, nachos, or vicious touchdown spikes!!
Peterson Bradford Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon - Sonoma, California 2014 - Threads of minerality and spice weave through well layered aromas of dark fruit, chocolate cake, forest floor and sweet oak. An ultra-smooth entry quickly reveals luscious flavors of black currant, blackberry, dark cherry, black plum and raspberry, edged with mocha and milk chocolate. This is a single vineyard production from Bradford Mountain Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma. Unfined. Unfiltered. Decant and enjoy!!
