Just arrived and added - GRANDPA'S HOMEGROWN WET HOP AMERICAN IPA - Our tribute to the annual hop harvest, this year’s homegrown is hopped with six pounds per barrel of freshly harvested Chinook. Aromas of earthy pine and citrus are rounded by a grapefruit peel bitterness and a slightly sweet malt flavor.
Old Baba Yaga Russian Imperial Stout is the heavy hitter for the night. Named for the witch who guarded the fountain of life and death in Russian folklore, the black depths of this Russian Imperial Stout hold coffee, licorice, and bittersweet chocolate flavors. Coming in at 13% abv and 115 IBU's this stout is sure to make a statement!
Also on tap, Racer 5 India Pale Ale - An American IPA that took the Gold Medal at the 2009 Great American Beer Festival (GABF), this hoppy IPA is a full bodied beer brewed with malted barley, wheat, and crystal malts. The malt base is designed to highlight the unique floral qualities Columbus and Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest. Racer 5 is one of America’s most medal winning IPAs. Hop Shovel IPA rounds out the tap list for this event. At 7.5% abv and 100 IBU's, Hop Shovel is dry, but with a soft and rounded mouthfeel achieved by using a high proportion of wheat and rye. Hop varieties Mosaic, Meridian, and Denali provide an abundance of flavor and aroma.
