California Wine Trails: Rare and Wild!
A BottleMixx two part tasting event – Saturday December 10th and Saturday December 17th
There is a $5 Tasting Fee for each tasting session; discounts will apply to featured wines on the day of the tasting!

At BottleMixx we love California wines – even better we love California wines that are ”rare and wild”, not industrial mass produced and dosed with sugar, juice concentrate and who knows what else. At these tastings we will feature 8 wines over the course of two tastings that concentrate on smaller family producers making incredible wine in every style imaginable. Come join us for one or both tastings and take advantage of special tasting discounts as you discover some of the best wines California has to offer!

DEC 10
Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc 2015
Makers of perhaps the most highly acclaimed Sauvignon Blanc in Napa Valley for three decades, The Novak family has farmed the valley with integrity producing juicy, distinct and structured wines that have delighted collectors for many years. Let’s taste this incredible Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc together.

Booker White 2014
Consistently some of the most stunning wines in the wine set are the BIG white blends based on Rhone white grape varietals, whether it is Andy Erickson and his Favia Viognier from the Sierra Foothills, or Elyse, or the white Chateauneuf Du Papes that we cannot seem to keep in stock. Enter – the Booker White from Paso Robles built on the Roussanne grape with Viognier, Marsanne and Petit Manseng. A white wine for red wine drinkers to be sure.

Coturri Sandocino Red (Multiple vintage cuvée)
The Coturri story is American folklore for three generations including a $10 investment, an earthquake, Harley-Davidsons, and of course- natural winemaking. This is an 800 case production of some of the most opulent Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah and Zinfandel across multiple vintages blended by Tony Coturri himself.

Broc Cellars Vine Starr Zinfandel 2015
Chris Brockway is simply a wine geek. In the best possible way. Traditionalist revivalist and mad scientist in one, shining light on lost varietals and breathing new life into tired ones. For example, this 850 case production of Buck Hill vineyard Russian River and Arrowhead mountain vineyard in Sonoma Valley. Lean, brambly, alive with mouth-watering fresh flavors. Volcanic soils, native yeasts, neutral oak barrels, low brix California Zin, yum yum.
